What sets your characters apart? Do you give your characters character?
Angel Sometimes, Angel curses a bit. Not every other word, but she was on the streets for almost six years. She picked up some curse words. In my next book, Dismembering the Past, the main character Hallie McAllister does not curse. She has other "characteristics" that identify her. For example, she boxes.
I've written a post about giving characters character over on The Blood-Red Pencil. You can read the post, but before you link over, leave a comment here. What gives your character character? Or have you read a book where a character was memorable? What made her/him memorable?
